Prom is often romanticized as a pivotal moment in a young person’s life, symbolizing the transition from adolescence to adulthood.
For many in the greater LGBTQ community, however, the traditional prom experience is impacted by the pressure to conceal or suppress our authentic selves.
Our 2024 ‘Queer Prom: Come as You Are’ is a special one-night event for the trans adult community and its allies hosted at the historic Avalon in Hollywood.

A Chance to be Authentic
The idea to host a Queer Prom came from a conversation we had randomly after using AI to generate what we’d look like in high school as our authentic selves.
Our 2024 “Queer Prom: Come as You Are” is a nostalgic reference to the famous Nirvana song from our youth. “I think that song is about acceptance, and about misfits,” once said Nirvana producer Butch Vig. “…‘Come As You Are’ is an ode to accepting someone for who they are.”
Due to the nature of this event, we invite guests to purchase a ticket ($40 each) directly or participate as a sponsor. A portion of our ticket sales and sponsorship fees will be donated directly to charity.
This event is for anyone in our industry who has ever felt othered, but especially for the trans community. We wanted to provide a safe space for our friends to express themselves authentically while being surrounded by those who love and honor us.

In an effort to cultivate safe space for our attendees, our 2024 “Queer Prom: Come as You Are” is for the trans adult community and its allies (in our industry). Guests will be approved on a case-by-case basis to verify their identity and then sent a private link to purchase their ticket for the event.
